going to goa
paintings by scott morgan
Scott Morgan created all of the paintings in this book after being told he had only 2-4 months to live. His dream was to return to India – a place he first encountered in 1968 when he attended the American International School in Delhi at age 17 – in order to live his remaining days on his own terms surrounded by peace and beauty.
With watercolor pans, brushes, and girlfriend Katy in tow, Scott was going to Goa within two weeks of hearing his cancer was inoperable. Scott’s positivity and sheer joie de vivre are apparent in his vibrant palette and his often whimsical works. His fine line work, steady hand, and prolific output bely the fact that many of these paintings were created while lying prone in bed.
